The Resident Intern Cardiology Companion is a quick reference designed for medical professionals on the inpatient cardiology service. It is meant to replace and expand upon printed pocket references with features available on a digital medium. Examples include built in calculators (RCRI, WELLs, etc.), heart/lung sounds and animated images. The information is presented at a level designed for resident interns. We feel, however, it will be useful to many medical professionals including medical students, nurse practitioners, physicians assistants and practicing physicians. Features include:
--"Cross Cover" quick reference for common issues
--EKG and Arrhythmia reference with examples (provided by ECGpedia.org)
--Approaches to common hospital scenarios including post-catheterization cares, pre-operative clearance and rule out chest pain admissions.
--Review of common diagnoses including Syncope, Hypertensive Emergency and Atrial Fibrillation
--CHA2DS2-VASc / Wells / RCRI Calculators
--Heart & Lung Sounds
--And more!
